Rebelling Against The Leaders
كان المشهور من مذهب أهل السنة، أنهم لا يرون الخروج على الأئمة وقتالهم بالسيف وإن كان فيهم ظلم۔ كما دلت على ذلك الأحاديث الصحيحة المستفيضة عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: لأن الفساد في القتال والفتنة أعظم من الفساد الحاصل بظلمهم بدون قتال، ولا فتنة فلا يدفع أعظم الفسادين بالتزام أدناهما، ولعله لا يكاد يُعرف طائفة خرجت على ذي سلطان إلا وكان في خروجها من الفساد ما هو أعظم من الفساد الذي أزالته۔ والله تعالى لم يأمر بقتال كل ظالم وكل باغ كيفما كان ولا أمر بقتال الباغين ابتداء۔ (منهاج السنة النبوية 3/231)۔
It is famous among the people of Sunnah that they didn’t consider it right to rebel against the leaders and fight them with sword (weapons) , even if they found oppression in them,as there are many narrations of the Prophet Muhammad صلي الله عليه وسلم which support it. It is because the trouble created by fighting them is more intense than that caused by their opression . And it is among the principles that of the two types of corruption, the one with lesser trouble is undertaken in order to avert the trouble caused by the bigger one. So the people who rebel against the ruler give way to graver trouble. And Allah ta’aala didn’t order to fight against every oppressor and every transgressor and He SWT didn’t command to fight the transgressors in the beginning.
